Status Update

Action taken: High visibility patrols– requesting other departments to assist including Safer Travel. Recruit members for local street watch groups.

April 2026 Update -

Officers continue to patrol hotspot locations of ASB, identifying individuals. Once identified they with be dealt with according. Arranging All out days with local partnership agencies. Joint monthly drop in surgeries with local councillors continue.

Spike in youth violence and knife related crime. Tackle and deter Robberies and violent crime within the area.

Gathering information and intelligence as well as working with the community, intelligence departments and Offender Managers and local school intervention officers.

April 2026 update –
Officers delivered knife talks in educational facilities and numerous schools throughout December / January. Weapon sweeps have been conducted in open spaces / parks around the area. Extra high visibility patrols have been conducted in hotspot locations.

Working with Birmingham City Council to address causes of Vehicle issues and encouraging the community to report offences via Op Snap.

April 2026 Update -

Officers have issued numerous tickets for parking tickets across the area. Parking enforcement has been to highlighted streets. Patrolling hotspot locations is on – going.
